Jon Update & Kid-eidoscope

I thought I should give a Jon update... He's doing well. Still wears his bandage every day without protest and the wound is healing very nicely. This photo is over a week old already. From last Saturday when he got his stitches out... it looks even better now.

And after looking at the original post, which was made somewhat hastily, I realized that although the "red arrow" picture (as most people seem to refer to it) does a good job showing the overall picture of what happened, it fails to effectively show exactly what Jon cracked his head open on. The TV stand pictured below is the offending item...

And today when we were playing hide and seek with Jon Noelle hid in this spot and I thought it could be cool. Jon decided to hide in it on the next round so I grabbed the camera for a little kid-eidoscope action.

On a side note, Jon is learning to work the system. We have to pay him a penny to take a decent picture now. Must be the Pake in him.

Crash and Burn...

So today Jon decided that he knew how to fly. As can be seen from the photo of the scene of the crime below he decided that he could make it from the bed to the pack and play about 4 feet away. We have been keeping the pack and play in front of the TV to keep the babies from pushing all the buttons and he somehow overshot and landed headfirst on the edge of the TV stand.

There were no witnesses above the age of 3. This account is taken from Jon's own testimony.

A warning, don't look at the last two photos if you are really faint-hearted.

One last warning, stiches and cut below...

Sorry for the quality on this shot, it's from my phone (didn't stop to grab the camera on the way out the door for the hospital)...

Halloween

Here's some photos from halloween with the kids. We have the blessing of having Matt and Marie's kids (Kai and Maya) here for a couple of weeks. The kids are really enjoying it. Jon is the blue ninja turtle, Kai is the red one, Clara is the ladybug, and Maya is the bee.

We had a super fun birthday dinner with Nana on the 30th, and a great time at Jon's school parade, trick or treating, and at a friend's party on Halloween.
